INNOCENT VICTIMS

by Brian J. Karem

Buy 'Innocent Victims' at Amazon.com Eleven-year-old Eddie Werner tried to struggle as Sam Manzie dragged him to the upstairs bedroom. "Let me go. Let me go," he cried, but it was already too late. Manzie had decided to kill him.

"Get on the floor facedown and close your eyes." Manzie grabbed his alarm clock and ripped it out of the wall. Taking the cord, he stretched it against Eddie's neck.

Eddie began to scream, fighting as the heavier teenager strangled him. Manzie pulled tighter and harder at the cord until the kicks and screams stopped.

Forty minutes later, his rage and energy spent, Manzie finally stopped pulling at the cord around his victim's neck. He kicked Eddie to make sure he was dead. He kicked him a second time, then got a camera to take a picture.
